Visionary Eye Care- Open for Business!

Welcome to our blog! Every so often, we will post about our practice, eye health tips, and any other topics that inspire us. To start off, we are SO GLAD to be open for business! We officially opened our brand-new optometry office on February 20th, 2020 and started off with a boom! We are so thankful to our patients who waited patiently for us to open. We were just reaching our stride when COVID-19 hit a month later. We used the time to GROW. How can we better serve our patients? Posted on our website, you will see the following Core Values:

Anne Metzger, RN, OD, received her Doctor of Optometry degree from Pacific University after working as a Registered Nurse for 10 years.

As an RN, Dr. Metzger primarily worked with children at the Children’s Hospital in Denver. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from the University of Florida.

The importance of children’s vision is at the core of Dr. Metzger’s role as an optometrist. Due to personal childhood challenges with vision and visual functioning, Dr. Metzger has a deep understanding of childhood experiences related to school performance and how visual functioning has a direct relationship with a child’s learning experience in and out of the classroom.

In addition to her passion of providing vision care to children, Dr. Metzger has 12 years of experience offering eye care to residents of long-term health care facilities. This experience has allowed Dr. Metzger to develop unique ways of providing eye care to the senior population, and she continues to enjoy caring for seniors’ eye health through her work at Visionary Eye Care.
